Gorgeous “Gold” Lights Create a Christmas Mood at the Sannomiya Center

The “Christmas objet d’art” at Sannomiya Center-gai 1-chome Shopping Arcade (Chuo-ku, Kobe) has been renewed with a new design this year, and has been on display in the arcade since November 27.

A gorgeously designed objet d’art in the shape of a Christmas tree with gold tones as its motif! The entire shopping street will be decorated with gorgeous colors to create a festive Christmas mood.

The design was created by students of the Department of Product and Interior Design at Kobe Design University. They designed it by using gold-colored pipes as the material, reminiscent of brass instruments and pipe organs, so that viewers can imagine the tone of the music.

The inside of the pipe is decorated with illumination reminiscent of snow and star lights, making it enjoyable to look at from afar or from below. ＜The
design is perfect for Kobe, with a balance of glamour and elegance. Just walking through the arcade will make you feel excited…after all, this is what Christmas should be all about!
