The exhibition “Glass, Ceramic, and Insects” will be held from December 17 to 25 at the former Kinoshita Family Residence in Maiko Park, Tarumi Ward, Kobe City.

The exhibition will feature works by glass craft artist and Kobe Design University professor Seio Tomosada, ceramic artist and Kobe Design University professor Kiyoko Morioka, assistant professor Yuka Shibasaki, and Kobe Design University students.
Professor Tomodada Seio (Glass) is a
glass artist who creates works using the “lamination” technique of stacking and polishing plate glass.
He has held two exhibitions at the same location in the past, which were well received.
Professor Kiseko Morioka (Ceramics )
is a ceramic artist who is also certified as a traditional craftsman in the Kutani ware molding division.
Her
highly translucent, delicate vessels and simple, modern designs are popular

Glass, ceramics, and insects? I guess they all refer to the works of the respective artists. The works on display are beautiful in the season of beautiful light. I am looking forward to seeing the collaboration with the historic building.
