KIRA Suzu,” an illumination event with local participation, will be held from December 17 to 24 at Kitayama Park, a 5-minute walk from Kita Suzurandai Station on the Kobe Electric Railway Line.
This first event is planned and managed by the “Kitazuzu Park Club,” which has been active in the park on a regular basis, with the aim of creating a place where new and old residents of Kitazurandai, which is undergoing large-scale redevelopment in front of the station, can enjoy communicating with each other. Local elementary school students, high school students, groups, and the park club will play a central role in decorating Kitayama Park with lights.
On the first day, December 17, there will be a “lighting ceremony” and “handheld fireworks” under the winter sky (from 19:00 to 20:30). Free handheld fireworks will be given to those who participate. Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
<We
decided to hold this event in the hope that the cooperation in lighting up the park will bring about multi-generational exchange and enliven the community.
We hope that many people will visit the park during the festival. <I
heard that high school students came up with the name “KIRA Suzu”.
