Cloud Frogs – Midnight” (P10), foil, mineral pigments, color on paper
After graduating from Akita Public Junior College of Arts and Crafts, Ms. Koyamauchi began her career as a painter. She has been working on her artwork with a desire to “continue to draw interesting and unique frogs and to spread her wings to the world as a painter of frogs.
She was born in Akita Prefecture, but spent her childhood to age 18 in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, so she is a painter with ties to Hyogo Prefecture as well.
The series was inspired by the image of many frogs playing with the moon when he looked at the moon while spending more time at home due to the Corona disaster.
In this exhibition, which also features a number of new works, visitors can view a wide variety of works, from small, palm-sized pieces to large, over one-meter works. <The
unique frogs are so cute that you can’t help but smile!
