On January 14 and 15, “Strawberry Rookies pop up store” will be held at Modernark Gallery (Chuo-ku, Kobe) to sell fresh strawberries picked in the morning at Kei Strawberry Farm (Tatsuno City) and Aioi Country Farm (Aioi City).
The “Nishi-Harima Fruits ∞ (Eight) Project” aims to increase awareness of Nishi-Harima fruits such as strawberries, figs, citrus fruits (mikan and yuzu), grapes, blueberries, melons, and apples by providing seasonal information about them. The event was planned for last January, but was cancelled due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
On the 14th, Mr. Yoshihiko Tsukamoto of “Kei Strawberry Farm,” who will appear in Kobe before the strawberry picking event scheduled to be held soon, and on the 15th, Mr. Akira Wakabayashi, a trainee of Hyogo Prefectural University of Agriculture, who will start his full-scale farming next season as “Aioi Country Farm,” will personally produce strawberries combining the techniques he learned during his training. He will be selling strawberries that he has developed from the techniques he learned during his training as “Aioi Country Farm”.
Both days start at 11:00 a.m. and end as soon as the strawberries are gone. You can drop by at noon and pick them up in the evening, or pick them up by 5:00 p.m. on the same day. <This is a
chance to get strawberries produced by strawberry farmers in Nishi-Harima in Kobe! Enjoy the fresh, sweet and sour strawberries that are in season now at home.
