Pre-opening event for preschoolers! KOBEKOKOLAND will be relocated and reopened in

Kobekkoland in Kobe’s Harborland will relocate and reopen in February 2023 in Wadamisaki, Hyogo Ward.
A pre-opening facility experience event for families with children under elementary school age is planned and is now open for participation on the Kobe City event application website. Applications will be accepted until January 18, 2023, and in the event that there are too many applicants, a drawing will be held. Participation is free of charge.

The facility, which opened in 1987, had originally been announced to relocate in the fall of 2009 due to aging and other factors, but plans were postponed for more than a year due to the effects of the global wood shortage, wood shock, and other factors. The relocation and reopening in February 2023 has now been announced, and the Kobe City Child and Family Center (Child Guidance Center) will be relocated at the same time.
The new Kobekko Land will feature new playground equipment, including a large indoor net, as well as a new outdoor plaza where children can freely move and play, relaxing on the grass or playing in the fountain during the summer. Vissel Kobe’s mascot character “Movi” will also make an appearance at the pre-opening event to liven up the event.
The city of Wadamisaki says, “KOBEKKOLAND, which has been loved by many people since its opening in 1987, will be reopened in Wadamisaki with a major upgrade. The new Kobekko-Land is filled with playground equipment and devices that allow children to forget about time and have fun. Please come and visit with your family. ＜
The new Kobekko-Land is finally here! I am thrilled and excited…but also a little sad for the current Kobekko-Land, where my child spent her childhood together. I would like to visit again with my grown-up child.
