Based on this agreement, the City of Kobe and Uheim will strengthen mutual cooperation and work together to realize regional development through the promotion of the appeal of Kobe’s sweets culture.
The specifics of the business collaboration agreement include the promotion of the appeal of Kobe sweets both in Japan and overseas through the use of the baumkuchen AI craftsman “THEO” and other products, collaboration with the city’s startup support measures and participation in events, business support for food tech companies in Japan and overseas, and the creation of new value for Kobe sweets. The project also includes the development of baumkuchen made with locally produced Kobe ingredients in an effort to promote a sustainable society.
In addition, UHEIM will collaborate with universities and vocational schools in Kobe City to solve problems and develop products to foster human resources through sweets, as well as support medical professionals and promote the regional development of Kobe by supporting children through gifts at children’s cafeterias and orphanages.
In addition, Kobe City announced that “THEO,” a baumkuchen AI craftsman developed by UHEIM over the past five years, will be the first AI craftsman in the world to receive a special certificate of residence. Based on this collaboration agreement, it is expected that THEO will create a new world of sweets as a symbolic presence that communicates the appeal of Kobe sweets.
