On March 11 and 12, “Kobe Illuminage,” Kobe’s winter illumination event, will be held specially at “Meriken Park” in Chuo Ward, Kobe City.
The annual event will be held in March as well!
Kobe Illuminage, now in its 12th year, is a traditional winter event that offers an interactive illumination that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. This year, the event was held at “Roadside Station Kobe Fruit Flower Park Osawa (Kita-ku, Kobe)” until February 26.
This year’s special event at Meriken Park will feature illumination by a flying drone, and in collaboration with Ultra Seven, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary, a life-size 40-meter Ultra Seven will float in the sky. There will also be a giant illumination that recreates the famous scene of the battle between Ultra Seven and King Joe at the Port of Kobe.
Participation is free of charge, and pets are welcome, and there will be kitchen car vendors at the event site. <A word from the reporter:
I thought it was very new and interesting to use a drone to produce light. I would love to see the unique illumination of the battle scene at the Port of Kobe!
