The “Mt. Rokko Forestation Project” for high school students (15 years old or older) will be held in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, on May 27. Participants are currently being recruited.
The Noevir Green Foundation, which sponsors the event, is engaged in forest management on Mt. Rokko to protect and nurture the forest zone, which plays a role in preventing landslides, as part of its reconstruction plan following the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. In the “Mt. Rokko Forest Growing Project,” in addition to forest maintenance activities, visitors will be able to experience craft activities using twigs collected in the forest.
