On May 31, “Smiles and Gratitude Smile Last Day” will be held at Kobe Municipal Suma Seaside Aquarium in Suma Ward, Kobe City.
Let’s end the last day with a bang!
The park, nicknamed “Sumasui,” will close at the end of May this year due to the redevelopment project. This event was planned on the 31st, the last day of operation, to express gratitude for the past and to make it a memorable day for the local residents who have walked together with the park.
The program was divided into two parts. In the first part, representative children from Wakamiya Elementary School in Kobe will read “Memories of Me and Sumai” and perform “Wakamiya Soranbushi,” a traditional dance of the school, followed by a performance by the brass band students of Takatori Junior High School in Kobe, who won the gold prize at the 69th Hyogo Prefecture Brass Band Contest Kobe District.
In the second part, a talk show will be held in which staff members who have supported the park over the years will share their memories. The cast will be introduced and the general manager will give a speech, followed by a finale by Sumanoura High School attached to the University of Hyogo. <A word from the reporter>
I heard that visitors on the last day will receive a “Sumasui original trading card” last day limited edition. It is kind of sad, but we would like to end the last day with a grand finale!
