The City of Kobe is working together as one to become “SDG Contributing City Kobe” based on the “Kobe 2025 Vision” that incorporates the SDGs concept.
In order to provide a “new venue for exchanging opinions” and “information dissemination” on measures that are familiar to citizens from the perspective of SDGs promotion, a simple forum will be held on the theme of “sustainable agriculture” in collaboration with a farmers’ market at the newly reopened Higashi Yuenchi Park, as a “venue for exchanging new opinions” and “information dissemination” among diverse entities including students. The “Kobe Farmers’ Market” will be held at the reopened Higashi Yuenchi.
In the future, mini-forums will be held at various locations in the city to discuss various SDG promotion initiatives in Kobe City and promote awareness and exchange of opinions on specific topics.

June 3, 2023 (Saturday) 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
* The event will be held rain or shine and cancelled in case of stormy weather.

10:00 – Information dissemination booth (panel display, photo items set up) will open
10:30 – 11:30 “SDGs Contributing City Kobe” Mini Forum.
Theme:
“What do you know about Kobe’s agriculture? What is sustainable agriculture?” -Making a mechanism for the younger generation to want to get involved in agriculture

In order to let people taste more of Kobe’s food appeal where urban areas and agricultural and fishing areas are close to each other, Kobe City
has been promoting the
EAT LOCAL KOBE FARMERS MARKET is a part of this initiative and is held almost every Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00 at Higashi Yuenchi with the concept of “continuously connecting producers and consumers”, The market brings together farmers, fishermen, and restaurants mainly from Kobe City, and provides an opportunity to become familiar with agriculture, fishery, and local production for local consumption, with the emphasis on handing products directly from the people who made them.
