Honwarabimochi Aoi An Sannomiya Store” opened in Kobe Sannomiya Center Plaza on June 24, 2012. It is the second store of the popular “Kuro Hon Warabi Mochi Aoi An” in Miki City, and specializes in take-out.
The homemade warabimochi is made by carefully kneading precious strawbeech flour, which is blended through many prototypes. The specialty is the stickiness and firmness of the rice cake, while still being thick.
There are five flavors: kinako (soybean flour), matcha (powdered green tea), kinako (soybean flour with black sesame seeds), hojicha (roasted green tea), and kurogoma (black sesame seeds). Freshly made at the main store in Miki City, the strawbimochi are delivered daily.
The shop also offers a special discount until the end of July to commemorate the opening of the shop.
The shop also offers a lineup of warabimochi drinks that are perfect for the coming season. Five flavors are available: kinako (soybean flour), matcha (green tea), hojicha (roasted green tea), milk tea, and strawberry.
Mr. Ishikawa, the owner of the store, commented, “We would like to deliver to many people our signature strawbimochi, which we have continued to make after overcoming the very difficult conditions of the Corona Vortex.
