From August 19 to September 23, Saturdays, “oyaconokimono – Challenge yourself with your parents and children! Kimono Remake Workshop” will be held at “Minatogawa Hall” (Hyogo Ward Office 2nd floor) in Kobe City from August 19 to September 23. Advance registration by July 31 is required to participate.
Hyogo City is currently running an Otona Support Project for middle and senior citizens. This time, as a special project of that project, a class for parents and children will be held.
For this event, kimono that are no longer worn will be used and remade into beautiful clothes. Students of the Fashion Design Department will serve as instructors and provide careful support for the production, so even beginners can participate without anxiety. A fashion show is also scheduled to be held in December to showcase the creations.
The person in charge says, “If you like sewing and are interested in the SDGs, please join us.
<A word from the reporter>
It seems difficult to remake clothes, but it looks like anyone can enjoy it as they will be taught step by step!
