Instructors are top athletes Yurika Nakamura and Haruko Okamoto! Oji

Although the Rokko City Marathon has been suspended for this year, a “running class” for third to sixth graders will be held on September 24 at the Oji Stadium athletic field in Nada-ku, Kobe City, as a runner support event. The time is from 10:45 to 12:00, and the participation fee is 1,000 yen.

The instructors will be top athletes Yurika Nakamura and Haruko Okamoto, who will teach the necessary running movements such as stretch x training and rhythm exercises to music, followed by running a slightly longer distance. There will also be time for questions to the instructors.

The program is open to third- to sixth-graders living in Hyogo Prefecture, and the number of participants is limited to 100 (if there are too many applicants, a drawing will be held to determine the number of participants). Applications are being accepted until September 10 through the Kobe Sports Association website.

The Rokko City Marathon is 1.5 km for elementary school students and their children, so it can be enjoyed casually. Unfortunately, the marathon was cancelled this year, but you can take lessons from top athletes for next year.
