On August 31, “Octopus and Highball Motomachi Branch” opened on the seaward side of the east exit of JR Motomachi Station, directly across the street.
The owner hopes that customers can relax after a hard day’s work with their colleagues with a hot takoyaki and a cold, highly carbonated highball that goes well with the takoyaki. The restaurant was founded with this in mind, and its impactful name, “Tako to Hiball” (octopus and highball), and the combination of the two and their tastes have attracted much attention, and the restaurant, which was born in Nagano, has now expanded to 36 stores nationwide. This is the first store to open in Hyogo Prefecture.
The restaurant’s reasonable pricing has gained strong support from businessmen and students alike, especially for its highballs, and it offers a unique service called “chinchillo,” in which customers roll two dice and get a discount of half price or 100 yen per drink depending on the result of the dice roll.
In addition to the famous takoyaki such as the most popular “Kujo Negi Mayo” (700 yen, tax included) and the standard “Sauce Mayo” (630 yen, tax included), there are also a variety of side dishes such as “Stewed Beef Stew” (480 yen, tax included) and “Fried Takopon” (680 yen, tax included).

“We aim to be an at-home restaurant where people can enjoy communicating with each other. Please feel free to come even if you are alone. We are glad to see a fun restaurant such as Dice Challenge coming to Kobe.
