Kobe City: Kobe Marathon 2023 Guests to be chosen for the Kobe Marathon 2023

It has been decided that Kobe Marathon 2023 (Sunday, November 19, 2023) will welcome as event guests Kimi Tanaka (NewBalance), who holds Japanese records in eight events in the middle and long distance track and field events, and KOBE2024 World Para The two guests will be joined by runners from the KOBE2024 World Para Athletics Championships. Both guests will be cheering on the runners and participating in official events to liven up the event.

I was an elementary school student when I followed my mother to the first event, but now I am almost twice as old as I was then, and I will be participating as a guest with my mother again, as I did last year. I am deeply moved by the fact that I have grown up together with this tournament. Since I was a child, I have met many top athletes at this tournament, and it has given me the opportunity to feel that I would like to eventually have the strength to compete alongside such athletes. I would like to thank the Kobe Marathon and all the people who support and color the event, as well as my mother, who continues to run with me to this day. With the honor of marking a page in the history of the event and the city of Kobe, I will continue to express my “Thanks and Friendship” this year!
