The “Kita Suzu Machinaka Cultural Festival,” a complex event featuring the area in front of Kobe Electric Railway’s Kita Suzurandai Station, will be held on September 30. Admission is free.
The event will feature stage events at Kita Suzu’s new spot, “Gate Hiroba,” as well as workshops, a fair, a quiz rally, and other programs that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Events will be held at three venues: Gate Hiroba, Kitayama Park, and Ekimae Hiroba.
On a special stage at the Gate Plaza, the centerpiece of the event, local dance groups and singer-songwriters will put on shows, and live painting will be performed under the theme of “New Kita Suzurandai. Yuichi Tasaki of Fujisaki Market, a comedian from Kobe’s Kita Ward, will also make an appearance as a special guest.

Kitchen cars will be set up in the food area next to the stage, serving kushikatsu, crepes, takoyaki, and other delicacies. At the “Ekimae Hiroba” site, students from local universities will hold a “Town Walking Quiz Rally” and other events.
At the “Kitayama Park” site, there will be many booths where parents and children can enjoy workshops such as badge making and wrapping, coloring and craft workshops, children’s fair, Lego games, and panels showing train faces.
