Kobe City: [Kobe City College of Technology] Humanoid Robot Brews Authentic

Kobe City College of Technology’s “Kobe National College of Technology Robotics” will open its first Kitchen Car “KOSEN Cafe” at the KOBE AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2023 on October 1 (Sunday). KOSEN Cafe” will be open for the first time.
KOSEN Cafe” will sell authentic coffee brewed by a humanoid robot, and will also hold a mini science class where children can experience making things.
*What is KOSEN Robotics?
It is a community of robotics-related research in which faculty and students of Kobe National College of Technology participate. Its mission is to solve social issues through the development of new technologies in robotics.

About KOSEN Cafe

　KOSEN Cafe” is a handmade kitchen car that was built by students and faculty members of Kobe National College of Technology by remodeling the back of a light truck.
Starting with its first appearance at this year’s event, KOSEN Cafe will visit various event venues to provide opportunities for visitors to become familiar with the possibilities of cutting-edge technology.

Sales event of real coffee brewed by humanoid robots
We will hold a sales event of real coffee where visitors can experience the service provided by humanoid robots, which are expected to play an active role amid the declining population and super-aging society.
(Hot and iced, 400 yen each / cup)

Mini Science Classroom for hands-on manufacturing
Aiming to nurture the next generation of manufacturing professionals, we will hold a mini science classroom where children can experience making things.

• Robot hand made from plastic bottles and balloons
• Target: Upper elementary school and junior high school students
• No capacity *Close when all materials are gone.
• Material fee: 200 yen
• Application not required *Participation is free on the day.
