Kobe City Medical Center Chuo Municipal Hospital, a designated Type 1 and Type 2 hospital for infectious diseases, has faced various challenges and difficulties from the early days of the new coronavirus infection to the present, and has overcome unprecedented difficulties by holding discussions each time, establishing a new system, and taking measures.
In order to prepare for future emerging infectious diseases and to apply this experience to future countermeasures, a detailed record of the three-year response at the hospital site, including the conflicts of the staff, has been compiled and published by the Kobe Shimbun.
