Kobe Anpanman Children’s Museum & Mall (1 Higashikawasaki-cho, Chuo-ku, Kobe; tel 078-341-8855 ) in Kobe Harborland will hold various events for Christmas from November 1.

At the Yanase Takashi Theater on the 2nd floor museum, visitors can enjoy dancing to Christmas songs with Anpanman dressed as Santa Claus on a stage. At “Mimi Sensei no Gakko” (Mimi Sensei’s School), young children can participate in a Christmas mask-making workshop with Anpanman wearing a Santa hat and Baikinman dressed as a reindeer.
The stores in the shopping mall on the first floor sell Christmas-themed products for a limited time only. For every 1,000 yen spent at each store and museum store, visitors will receive a card, and if they collect 10 cards, they will be entered into a drawing to win museum tickets and Anpanman goods.
A 2.5-meter-tall stuffed Anpanman dressed as Santa Claus will be set up as a Christmas photo spot in the Anpanman Plaza on the first floor shopping mall.
Museum spokesperson Toshiko Okajima said, “The museum also offers a character meet and greet where visitors can high-five Anpanman and his friends and become friends with them. We hope visitors will enjoy a sparkling and exciting Christmas brought to you by Anpanman and his friends.
The museum is open from 10:00 to 17:00 (last admission at 16:00). Admission is 2,000 yen and up for ages 1 and up (web reservations are preferred). Admission to the shopping mall is free. The Christmas event will run through December 25.
