In September 2017, Kobe City and Miyazaki Prefecture concluded a comprehensive cooperation agreement in the three areas of “promotion of exchange of goods and people connected by the port,” “revitalization of industries utilizing local resources such as agricultural and livestock products,” and “mutual cooperation regarding disaster prevention,” and as part of this agreement, elementary school students exchange As part of the agreement, the company has been implementing an exchange program for elementary school students.
This year, students from Kiwaki Elementary School in Kunitomi-cho, Miyazaki Prefecture, will board a ferry operated by Miyazaki Car Ferry Co.
The students from Kiwaki Elementary School will deepen exchanges with students from Uozaki Elementary School in Kobe City through learning about and experiencing Kobe’s industries, as well as learning about the experiences and lessons of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
