On December 2, “Denchi Festa in Kobe” will be held at Bando Kobe Science Museum for Youth (Chuo Ward, Kobe) on Port Island, Kobe. Participation is free of charge, but an admission fee to the exhibition room is required.
The event is organized by the Battery Manufacturers Association of Japan (BMAJ) in order to promote children’s knowledge of batteries, which are a part of everyday life. At the venue, children can deepen their understanding of batteries while having fun at the “Handmade Dry-Cell Battery Workshop” where they can make their own original dry-cell batteries, and at the “Children’s Battery X-Quiz” where they can win prizes for correct answers.
On the same day, the museum’s planetarium will be projecting “Christmas in the Starry Sky” (December 1-26), a collaboration of the night sky on Christmas Eve seen from the moon’s surface and the shining blue earth, which can also be enjoyed at the same time.
<A word from the reporter:
Children and adults alike will enjoy discovering the wonders of science through play and enjoying the enchanting Christmas night sky.
