Kobe Municipal High School of Science and Technology
Our school has been involved in the microcomputer car rally competition in classes and club activities since 2004, when the school opened, and has participated in the national competition almost every year.
We are pleased to announce that our third-year students won the Camera Class division of the Japan Microcomputer Car Rally 2024 National Competition held in Nagano Prefecture on December 27 and 28 last year. This is the first time that a student from our school has won the championship.
What is a microcomputer car rally competition?
It is a competition in which participants compete to see how long it takes a vehicle-type robot, which reads the course using sensors and controls the steering wheel and speed using a microcomputer with a program written by the students, to drive autonomously from the start to the finish line.
