On February 18, “Evacuation Drill Concert Bloom Works & Haruka Urara Live” will be held at Arabesque Hall in Kakogawa Wellness Park (Kakogawa City). The concert is free of charge (capacity of 500 people).
This “audience-participation” evacuation training event will be held under the assumption that an earthquake occurs during a concert performance and a fire breaks out, in an environment similar to that of the actual event. After the drill, those who wish to participate can try using a water fire extinguisher to extinguish the initial fire.
Although it is an evacuation drill, one of the attractions of this event is that visitors can actually enjoy the concert. On stage will be the Kobe-based disaster prevention music unit “Bloom Works” and enka singer Urara Haruka, who performs mainly in the Kansai region.
Related events will include an exhibition of fire trucks and ambulances, and a hands-on experience for kids to try on fire prevention uniforms.
<A word from the reporter:
Many people are well prepared for disaster prevention at home, but few have learned the proper evacuation procedures when they are out and about, especially indoors. That is why I think this is a very meaningful event.
