Town Walking Event, Prefectural Products Marché, Street Corner Live, etc. Sannomiya Center

For three days from March 15 to 17, an event will be held to mark the first anniversary of the creation of the area known as “Michinawa” (Chuo Ward, Kobe City), which covers the area from Sannomiya Hondori Shopping Street to Center South Street.

The event will be held jointly by the “Sannomiya Hondori Shopping Street Promotion Association” and the “Sannomiya Center South Town Development Association. Last March, when the two organizations jointly held various events and promotional activities, they decided on “Michinawa” as a general nickname for the area, and held the “Michinawa” town opening event.

To commemorate the first anniversary of the opening of the town, the event will include a town walk to win gorgeous prizes, a marché featuring products from all over Hyogo Prefecture, and musical performances on street corners.

In the “Machikazu” event, a participatory event using the Machi digital platform application, a total of 15 participants will be selected by drawing to receive luxury prizes such as a NINTENDOswitch and a platter of premium Tajima beef barbequed meat.

In addition, “Michiniwa Marche” will be held in cooperation with Zentan Bus’s route bus freight and passenger consolidation business, selling local products transported mainly from Kami Town and Tamba City. This year’s event will feature fresh organic vegetables from Tamba Ichijima, Kami Town’s specialty Kozumi crabs, and other fine products from Hyogo Prefecture.

In addition to the “Street Corner Jazz Live” featuring selected groups from the “Kansai Student Jazz Union,” there will also be a “Shopping Street Live” featuring singer-songwriters active mainly in the Kansai region, including “Harold,” “Taku Fujiyama,” and “Towa Mafune,” to be held simultaneously at two locations.

“Michinawa” is home to many long-established stores that have been in business for over 30 years and independent stores that offer a wide range of products, and many people appreciate the good taste and unique atmosphere of the area and use this area as a nomination point when traveling between Sannomiya and Motomachi. These two areas, which are geographically and environmentally similar, will hold a joint event to improve customer convenience.
