The 10th Nitten Kobe” will be held from February 17 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Kobe and the Kobe Fashion Museum, both located on Rokko Island in Higashinada Ward, Kobe City. The exhibition will run until March 24.
The Nitten is known as one of the largest comprehensive art exhibitions in Japan with a long tradition.

The exhibition consists of five departments: Japanese-style painting, Western-style painting, sculpture, crafts, and calligraphy. The exhibition will be held in Kobe as it was last year.

In addition to the basic works that will travel throughout Japan, the Kobe venue will also feature approximately 530 works by local artists from Hyogo, Osaka, Nara, and Wakayama, which have been selected for the exhibition.

During the exhibition, explanatory talks by the exhibiting artists will be held, and the staff in charge of the exhibition commented, “We hope you will enjoy viewing the many masterpieces that reflect the current state of Japanese art, from the works of the masters to the selected works by local artists.

In conjunction with the exhibition, “Rokko Island Art Fair” will be held on Rokko Island. Kobe Fashion Mart” will also hold the “Kobe Citizens’ Art Exhibition” and other events such as a marché are also planned.
