The Kobe Samba Team will hold a “Samba Class in Meriken Park” at the southeast corner of Meriken Park (Chuo Ward, Kobe City) on April 6 and 13. Participation is free of charge, and no advance registration is required.
This year marks the 51st Kobe Festival. The samba team parade will add color to the festival.
The samba class to be held this time is sponsored by the Kobe Citizens’ Festival Association, and the Kobe Samba Team will give a lecture on samba steps to those who want to “participate in the Kobe Festival and enjoy it more.
The steps lectured at the hands-on class are simple steps, and everyone from children to the elderly can participate. On the day of the hands-on class, samba costumes are available for rent free of charge (limited number of costumes available). Those who wish to participate are asked to come to the venue on the day of the event in comfortable clothing. We recommend that you bring a towel to wipe your sweat and a drink to rehydrate yourself.
