A model for a terrestrial TV drama series gives hints for regional development! Stage Felissimo

Kobe School,” a live message concert based on the concept of “a gift of experience and words,” will be held on April 27. This time, Chika Tsubouchi, the model for the terrestrial drama “First Penguin! will be held at Stage Felissimo (Chuo-ku, Kobe) and online. The Kobe School is a lecture series featuring leading figures from various fields, and has been held monthly since 1997 under the auspices of Felissimo, with this year marking the 320th time it has been held. Participation fees will be used to support orphans from the Great East Japan Earthquake and the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake through Ashinaga Scholarship Society.

When she was in her 20s, Ms. Tsubouchi moved to Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, where she had no previous experience, and succeeded in the sixth industrialization of the fishing industry, something she had never done before. Mr. Tsubouchi’s activities in establishing a brand where one can buy fresh fish directly from fishermen have attracted the attention of people in the fishing industry and the media throughout Japan. In her lecture titled “Connecting Rich Food and Blue Ocean to the Future in which Our Children Live,” she will give hints necessary for regional development and management reform, with the hope that “the future of Japan will be even a little brighter and more energetic.

Chika Tsubouchi Profile

Born in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture in 1986. In 2010, after meeting fishermen, she jumped into the fishing industry, which she had no knowledge of, and in 2011, she organized about 60 fishermen to establish “Hagi Oshima Funadanmaru,” the first Funadanmaru brand, and became its representative. He applied to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries for certification as a 6th industrialization and began shipping his own products the same year, and incorporated as GHIBLI Corporation in 2014. He has been involved in coordinating relationships with government, fishery cooperatives, and producers nationwide, securing shipping routes for primary products produced, and expanding sales channels, and has also been involved in the reconstruction of fishing ports in Fukushima Prefecture. He has developed the Funadamaru brand throughout Japan, including in Iwanai, Hokkaido, Fukushima, and Okinawa, and also gives lectures.
