Commemorative train rides and projection mapping! Around JR Kobe Station

On May 11 this year, JR Kobe Station will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the railroad between Kobe and Osaka Stations in 1874.

To commemorate this anniversary, events such as “Commemorative Train Ride” and “Projection Mapping” will be held around JR Kobe Station.

The events are planned by JR West and Kobe City. On May 11, the opening day, a “Commemorative Ceremony & 150th Anniversary Commemorative Train Departure Ceremony” will be held at JR Kobe Station. In conjunction with the ceremony, a “Kobe-Osaka 150th Anniversary Commemorative Train Ride Mini Tour” will be held for the general public. The tour is limited to 150 people (by lottery), and advance registration via the Web is required. Applications will be accepted until April 14.

Participants will also receive a commemorative train pass and a sticker with the original 150th anniversary head mark.

On May 11 and 12, “KOBE-OSAKA 150 Years Chronicle: Kobe Station Projection Mapping” will be held at Kobe Station North Exit Station Square. The history of the city and its railroads will be presented with beautiful images and music.
