Secretariat of the Kobe 2024 World Para Athletics Championships Organizing Committee
The Kobe 2024 World Para Athletics Championships, which will finally open on May 17, will invite schools wishing to participate from elementary, junior high, high, and special needs schools in Hyogo Prefecture to the competition venue as school spectator events. The school spectator event has been supported by corporations and individuals who have endorsed and donated to the “ONE Class Support System,” and a total of approximately 30,000 students have participated in the event.
We will be distributing “School Spectator Passports” to participating schools in advance of the event. The passports will be sent to each participating school in order from April 30.
About “School Watching Passport”

・Design based on the actual medals awarded to athletes at the Games
・Colored pages for cheering using the colors of the key visuals of the Games
(The students will use them as cheering effects to decorate the stands while watching the games.)
Mini Guide for Para-Athletics
(Wheelchair Racer / Rope Thrower / Throwing Board / Artificial Legs / Guide Runner)
(1) for lower elementary school students, (2) for upper elementary school students, (3) for junior high and high school students
(3) for upper elementary school students, and a Braille version will be made with the cooperation of Kobe Municipal School for the Blind.

About the ONE Class Support Program
With support from corporations and individuals (minimum of 50,000 yen per unit), we will support children attending schools in Hyogo Prefecture
to participate in the Games.
The support from corporate and individual donors (minimum 50,000 yen per unit) will be used to invite students attending schools in Hyogo Prefecture to the tournament. As of the end of March, 180 corporations and individuals have provided generous support.
The
World Para Athletics Championships is the world’s premier para-athletics event established by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The 11th edition of the championships will be held in Kobe, Japan, for the first time in East Asia and Japan. This year’s event is also a prelude to the Paris Paralympic Games to be held in the same year, providing an excellent opportunity to watch the heated competition among Para athletes who have qualified for the final round of the games here in their hometown of Kobe.
