In the “Learning Support Project”, local organizations subsidized by Kobe City provide learning support activities for junior high school students who do not have sufficient opportunities to study outside of school due to economic circumstances. We are now accepting applications from junior high school students and volunteers who wish to participate in the study support program in 2024.
Recruitment of students (junior high school students)
(1) Eligibility
Junior high school students who do not have sufficient opportunities to study due to economic circumstances
*There are no restrictions on application based on income, but after an interview between the applicant, his/her guardian, and the person in charge of the organization, we will consider the applicant’s family structure, household income, study status outside school, and reasons for wishing to provide study support in light of the purpose of this project. The applicant’s family structure, household income, out-of-school learning status, and reasons for requesting learning support will be comprehensively considered in light of the purpose of the program.
In the event that there are too many applicants, preference will be given to third-year junior high school students.

(2) Contents
Face-to-face study support by volunteer instructors [once a week, 2 hours and 30 minutes per session]
– Initiatives aimed at giving students an image of higher education and employment (job introduction by company staff, etc.) [About once a month, 30 minutes per session, within the above framework].

(5) How to apply
Please apply by filling out the application form posted on each organization’s website. (If you have difficulty in applying through the website, please contact the organization in charge of the location where you would like to take the course.)
(If necessary, each organization will contact you to confirm the details of your application.
(6) Application period
From Friday, May 10, 2024 to Friday, May 31, 2024
(7) Decision on enrollment
The management organization will contact those who have been selected to participate in the program by Friday, June 28, 2024. Please note that if we do not hear from you by this date, we will assume that your request has not been met.
2. Recruitment of Paid Volunteers
We are looking for paid volunteers (lecturers and administrative assistants) to work together with the organizing organization. For details, please refer to the Kobe City website.
Application period: Applications are accepted at any time until the end of March 2025.
