A craft event to make a miniature ball machine “DinDon,” a monument representing Kobe Harbor Land umie (Chuo-ku, Kobe), will be held on May 18 and 19 at Mosaic 2nd floor Flower Plaza. The event will be open to the first 100 visitors each day, and will close when all numbered tickets are gone.
DinDon” is a work by American sculptor George Rose, and was installed on the west side of Center Street at the same time as the opening of Harborland in 1992. The perpetual kinetic movement of the ball and the sounds it makes attract many people, from children to adults.
In this craft event, participants will make a miniature “DinDon”. (Those who have registered for the umie application will receive a 100 yen discount upon presentation of the registration screen. (If you are registered on the umie app, you can get a 100 yen discount by showing your registration screen.)

After completion, participants will make cute ding-dongs that can be played with or displayed in their rooms. Since this is a more difficult craft, we recommend that parents/guardians participate with their children. We hope you will try it as a memorable part of your visit to Harbor Land.

Ding-dongs are fun to look at when you visit Harbor Land…and after they are finished, you can play with them or decorate them to create memories!
