Minato Kanko Bus to Begin “Limousine Bus Service Connecting Kobe Airport, Rokko Island, and USJ

Minato Kanko Bus Co., Ltd. headquartered in Higashinada-ku, Kobe City, began operating a “limousine bus” service connecting Kobe Airport, Rokko Island, and Universal Studios Japan (USJ) on May 24, 2012.

The limousine bus service is designed to improve the convenience of transportation for tourists visiting USJ and the city of Kobe and Rokko Island. After landing at Kobe Airport from 12 airports around Japan, passengers can directly access USJ by bus via Rokko Island on the limousine bus without transfers.

Bus stops are located at “Kobe Airport”, “Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel”, and “Universal Studios Japan”. Buses depart and arrive every hour* on weekdays and holidays. The standard travel time is approximately 50 minutes from Kobe Airport to USJ, approximately 25 minutes from Kobe Airport to the Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel, and approximately 25 minutes from the Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel to USJ.

The location of each bus stop is as shown in the image. For Kobe Airport (top image), bus stop No. 3 of the bus terminal in front of the terminal building; for Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel (middle image), bus stop No. 3 of the hotel; and for Universal Studios Japan (bottom image), bus stop No. 4 of the Kotsu Hiroba bus terminal.

Fares vary depending on the distance. Please note that it is not possible to reserve seats.

With the recent train congestion due to the inbound effect, taking a spacious limousine bus to USJ is honestly a good idea. It is also a nice point that the route seems to offer a view of the ocean from the bus window.
