Japan Brickfest -Kobe Fan Weekend-, the largest LEGO® official hub event in Asia, will be held at Canadian Academy on Rokko Island (Higashinada-ku, Kobe). The event will be held on June 8 and 9.
The event is a LEGO®-approved fan event held annually in Denmark, Portugal, and Japan. A large number of builders from Japan and abroad will participate, and a total of about 400 builders will exhibit their original creations.
The works will be exhibited in Gymnasiums 1, 2, and the main plaza, in a variety of genres such as robots, trains, GBC (ball rolling), buildings, vehicles, and games.
In the Black Box Theater, there will be activities such as mosaic art (a 16 x 16 pothole base on which colorful 1 x 1 blocks are assembled to create dot pictures) and robots using Legos by ProgLab (a programming school).
In the Theater Hall, a stop-motion competition (time-lapse photography, a moving image made by connecting five or more pictures per second) will be shown.
On the main stage in the main plaza, there will be a speed-birding competition (a game to see how many Lego bird parts can be attached to a base plate in one minute), a van drive, and taiko drum performances.
There will also be a flea market and food and beverage corner, making this an event that can be enjoyed all day long with family and friends.
<A word from the reporter>
This is a rare opportunity to actually see the magnificent creations of builders from Japan and abroad. There will also be a variety of activities for children to enjoy, so the whole family can have fun for a whole day.
