Press Release (June 21, 2024)
International Sports Office, Culture and Sports Bureau
As a legacy project of the “Kobe 2024 World Para Athletics Championships” held in May 2024, the hands-on program “Parareso” will be held again this year.
Parareso” is a generic name for a learning program that aims to realize a symbiotic society in which everyone can play an active role by learning about the world of para-sports and recognizing the differences of each individual. Resonance is a phenomenon that creates deeper understanding by empathizing with the feelings and thoughts of others. The first step toward a symbiotic society is for each person’s individuality to resonate with each other, and it is with this in mind that “Parareso,” a cross between para-sports and resonance, was born.
The “Paralelazzo for School” is a hands-on class for children in schools in the city, and the “Paralelazzo for Community” is for adults.
