One of the largest indoor art and handmade events in the Kansai region, “Art & Handmade Bazaar in Himeji,” will be held for the first time on July 20 and 21 at Acrie Himeji (Himeji City).
The popular event, which brings together numerous handmade artists and writers, finally comes to Himeji for the first time!
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the “Art & Handmade Bazaar” (commonly known as “Tezuba”), and each event is like a “cultural festival for adults” where you can talk directly with the creators themselves and purchase their works, or enjoy a treasure hunt to discover new works of art. The event is like a “cultural festival for adults” and attracts visitors of all ages.

At the venue, high-quality original works in various genres such as accessories, bags, leather, glass, stationery, woodwork, ceramics, and illustrations are exhibited and sold.
In addition, there will be workshops such as fake sweets making, soap making, and acorn crafting, as well as a fair corner at the outdoor Nigiwai Hiroba where children can enjoy shooting games, shaved ice, French fries, and fried bean curds.
The Osaka and Kobe venues have attracted an increasing number of business visitors from department stores, retailers, and general merchandise stores each year, and there have been many stories of concrete business leads, such as “a buyer from a department store approached us” and “a sale at a general merchandise store was decided.
The person in charge says, “Let’s continue to send out art from Kansai and make Kansai more exciting with art! With this in mind, we would like to continue to be an event that connects various creators, various works of art, and customers. Please enjoy new encounters at Tezuba, which is filled with everyone’s “likes”.

The charm of handmade goods is that you can feel the uniqueness and originality, the creator’s thoughtfulness and persistence. I am very happy that “Tezuba” will finally be held in Himeji, where such works are lined up in a row!
