Kobe City: Operation of “Tanabata Train: Orime-go and Hikoboshi-go

This year, too, the “TANABATA TRAIN ORIHIME-go and HIKOBOSHI-go” carrying children’s wishes will run through the city of Kobe in time for TANABATA on July 7.
The inside of the train will be decorated with tanzaku strips on which children from 26 kindergartens, nursery schools, and other facilities along the route have written their wishes, and decorated with Tanabata decorations.
In addition, children from Misaki Children’s Garden will decorate the train with their own strips of paper.

1. Scheduled Operation Period

July 4 (Thursday) to August 19 (Monday), 2024
One Orihime-go and one Hikoboshi-go train will operate on the Seishin-Yamate Line and the Kaigan Line

(No tanzaku strips will be decorated on the women-only carriages.)

Young staff members of the Transportation Bureau gathered voluntarily to create decorations named after Tanabata in order to “make the Kobe Municipal Subway more familiar to customers riding the subway
