Food, drinks and rakugo! Popular stores along the route will gather at Suwayama Park

Suwayama Park (Chuo Ward, Kobe City) will host the “Day of the 7” event on July 7 to promote the Kobe City Bus Route 7. Admission is free.

The city’s Route 7 bus line, which runs from Isogami and Sannomiya to Kobe Station via Yamamoto-dori and Sanroku Line, is dotted with various private stores and historic sites around the bus stops, such as Higashiyama Shopping Street and Suwayama Park, and its attractions are too numerous to list.

However, unlike railroads, buses do not emphasize “value along the route,” and the number of bus users has been declining. The “Route 7 Project,” a project created to promote attachment to and use of the Route 7 system, will hold an event on July 7, the day the number 7 is aligned.

Facilities and stores along the Route 7 line will be gathered in one place to offer earthenware roasted coffee, wine, confections, Nepalese curry, hot dogs, and more. Other contents include a rakugo performance by Kirakukan and a “chilly footbath” using hot spring water from the Minatoyama Onsen spa.

There will also be a ping-pong game by Metro Kobe, uchiwa fan making for children at the Tachibana Children’s Center, and many other events that parents and children can easily enjoy together. For a list of participating stores and facilities, please see the details.

The author sometimes uses the 7 train line! It is just right for Kitano, Higashiyama shopping district, and other places that are a little inconvenient to reach by train. I support my favorite line that can reach the places where I have an itch to go.
