Container Logistics” will be held on July 29 at the Port of Kobe (Chuo Ward, Kobe City). Participation is free of charge, and applications are accepted until July 10.
The Port of Kobe Backyard Tour” is a hands-on event for elementary and junior high school students to see and experience port facilities in order to familiarize them with the port and to show them its attractions from a child’s perspective.
The theme of the “Port of Kobe Backyard Tour,” which will be held for the third time this fiscal year, is “Close Contact: Container Logistics! Container Logistics. In order to learn about the work of logistics that supports our daily lives, the tour will visit the Kobe College of Port and Harbor Studies, a school where students learn about port work.
At this event, visitors can try their hand at loading and unloading containers using the popular “gantry crane (large crane)” simulator, as if they were in the real thing, and also enjoy taking photos in the cockpit of a crane truck or forklift truck.
At the Kobe International Container Terminal, visitors can receive guidance on the rooftop overlooking the terminal and tour the container yard from inside the bus, which is normally inaccessible, to see the actual logistics site. Applications are accepted via the application form.

The sight of many containers and trucks coming and going is very impressive! The entry fee is free of charge, so please apply as much as you like.

It’s not often that you can experience logistics, which is indispensable to our daily lives, up close and personal! I would like to try the “gantry crane” simulator, even as an adult!
