On the Seishin-Yamate and Kaigan lines of the Kobe Municipal Subway, “Tanabata Trains: Origihime-go and Hikoboshi-go” will be in operation from July 4 to August 19.

The “Tanabata Train,” which runs in conjunction with the Tanabata Festival on July 7, has been in operation since 2002, and this year is the 23rd time it has been held, making it an annual event during this season.
On July 2, children decorated “tanzaku” (paper strips) on the cars at Misaki Koen Station, and young staff members of the Transportation Bureau (crew members) gathered voluntarily to decorate the cars with Tanabata decorations to make them more familiar to passengers of the Kobe Municipal Subway. During the period, the “Tanabata” decorations were displayed along the coastline and on the Seishin Line.
During this period, one each of the “Orihime-go” and “Hikoboshi-go” trains will run on the Kaigan Line and the Seishin-Yamate Line. Please check the schedule for details.
The “Orihime-go” and “Hikoboshi” trains, decorated with strips of paper with children’s wishes on them, will be in operation for a limited time. The trains will be in operation during the Bon Festival as well, so please be sure to check them out,” says the person in charge.
