Bando Kobe Science Museum for Youth, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and International Medical Center for Human Life, Kobe (Chuo Ward, Kobe City), which is celebrating its 5th anniversary, will hold a collaborative event, “Let’s Talk about Space. Registration is now being accepted.
Professor Mori (Hayabusa project member and IKAROS project leader) from JAXA’s Institute of Space and Astronautical Science will give a lecture on “Japan’s Deep Space Exploration” and also conduct a tour of the International Medical Center for Human Life Kobe. After learning about space thoroughly, participants will move to Bando Youth Science Museum (10-minute walk) for a tour of the museum, focusing on the space exhibition area in the science museum.
The tour is limited to the first 60 participants (4th grade elementary school students and above recommended). Advance registration through the website is required to participate.
The person in charge of the event said, “The Medical Center holds several events for children each year, and this year we decided to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the museum’s opening with a project on the theme of ‘space,’ which is full of dreams, so that we can encourage children’s dreams. The nearby Youth Science Center is also celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, so we asked them to collaborate with us on the space connection, and we ended up with an event with a lot of content! The event was full of contents!
<A word from the reporter>
