The annual “Daikai Summer Festival” will be held at Ikuta Shrine in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, from August 2 to 4. Admission is free.
The festival is a summer tradition held at the “Daikai Shrine,” a branch of Ikuta Shrine, which is located on the south side of the Ikuta Shrine grounds and enshrines Sarutahiko no Mikoto, the god of shipping protection, road opening, and traffic safety.
In addition to Japanese drum performances, live stage performances will include jazz, samba, hula dance, and other international performances unique to Kobe.
The “Kobe Circle Festival” will be held at the same time, and will feature performances by unique artists such as “Sasuke,” “Sakuto,” “2 Cho-Kengan,” “Pia-no-jaC←,” and others.
Other artists from Kobe such as “Kobe Kiyomori-tai”, “KOBerrieS♪”, “Nikkoichi”, and “Watanabe Flower” will also appear at the venue to liven up the summer event. After each day’s performance, a “lucky draw” will be held to win gorgeous prizes.
In addition, a special DJ booth will be set up in the precincts of the shrine, where DJ performances will be held and visitors can enjoy drinks and food from Kobe’s restaurants.
