The 11th Kobe International Flute Competition, a flute world cup held in Kobe once every four years, will be held in the summer of 2025. Prior to this event, a flute orchestral event, “Minna de Museru Flute Orchestra in Harborland” will be held on October 20.
Held for the first time in five years since it was held on Rokko Island in 2019, this year’s event will welcome Mario Bruno, the winner of the 10th competition, and Hideaki Sakai, the chairman of the jury, and will feature a large ensemble for amateurs to participate. The pieces to be performed will include Flute Concerto No. 1 (Mozart) and Globe (Yonezu Genji).
The event is currently accepting applications for participants (* The application may be closed when the number of participants reaches its capacity). The target audience is generally those with at least one year of flute experience and those who are able to participate in the practice and performance. Please check the official website for details.
The person in charge says, “We invite all flute lovers to participate in this opportunity and have a wonderful musical experience together. Anyone with flute experience is welcome to participate. Let’s make the sound of the flute resound in Kobe together! We hope you will join us in Kobe and let the sound of the flute echo through the city.
