The 34th Shiawase no Mura Festival will be held for three days from September 14 to 16 around the Aozora Outdoor Activity Center in Shiawase no Mura (Kita-ku, Kobe). The festival will be canceled in case of rain.
This very popular annual event will feature a fair, food stalls, and kitchen cars at the venue, which will change daily.
Stage events will include performances by the Japanese drumming team from Kobe Suzurandai High School, the marching band club from Kobe Koryo Gakuen High School (14th), and the Kobe City Firefighting Band (16th). Other events include daily performances by kids’ dance teams and a fireworks show (each day).
In addition, there will be game booths for raffle draws, yo-yo fishing, and Struck Out. For details of each day’s schedule, please check the event page on the official website.
During the event, visitors can also enjoy “hand-held fireworks” in separate areas for a fee of 500 yen per couple (reservation required) for up to six people per area. Reservations can be made by calling the Shiawase-no-mura Onsen Kenko Center or visiting the front desk by 9:00 p.m. the day before the event.
<A word from the reporter>
No matter which day you go on any of the three days, the festival seems to be crowded with stage events, game booths, and lots of kitchen cars. We are also looking forward to the Blow-up Fireworks Show!
