On October 19, “Kobe Environmental Expo KANPAKU 2024” will be held at Futaba Gakusha in Nagata Ward, Kobe City, for a fun learning event about the global environment. Admission is free.
The event will be held to “encourage everyone to think about the environment and to expand the circle of environmental activities,” and will feature exhibits by companies and organizations engaged in a variety of environmentally friendly activities. It is a hands-on event where visitors can enjoy learning about environmental issues through workshops and exhibitions.
Forty companies and organizations will be exhibiting at the venue, where both adults and children can enjoy learning about upcycling, resource recycling, and the natural environment.
Asahi Kasei Home Products Corporation will hold an umbrella workshop using recycled Ziploc®, and World Corporation will hold an upcycling workshop using leftover fabric from its factories.
There will also be booths where visitors can bring their “unwanted petit petit ®️” and receive a “petit card” or clear file containing petit information that comes out of the machine that crushes petit petit ®️, booths where visitors can upcycle their own PET bottle caps, and a collection of used clothing and lactic acid drink containers.
In addition to sales of organic vegetables, organic rice, rice flour, etc., and bread baked in the morning using domestic wheat, there will be a screening of environment-related films and workshops to discuss Kobe’s environment.
There will also be an exhibition of marine plastic waste art, “20XX: Planosaurus Landing.

40 companies and organizations will participate in the event, making it a day to learn about upcycling, resource recycling, and the natural environment in a fun and hands-on way!
