Kobe City: “Transportation Festival 2024 in Naya Rail Yard”!

Continuing from last year, the Transportation Bureau will hold the “Transportation Festival in Naya Rail Yard” on November 4 (Monday, bank holiday). The purpose of the festival is to familiarize visitors with the city’s buses and subways by opening the Naya Rail Yard, which is normally closed to the public.

In addition to city buses including hydrogen buses, there will be exhibits of bus vehicles from Shinki Bus, Sanyo Bus, Awaji Kotsu, Honshi-Kaikyo Bus, and Amagasaki Kotsu Jigyo Shinko. We look forward to seeing you there.

1. Outline of the event

(1) Date and time: Monday, November 4, 2024 (Monday and bank holiday) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (rain date, cancelled in case of stormy weather)

(2)Location: Kobe City Transportation Bureau Naya Rail Yard (2-3-1 Nishi-Ochiai, Suma-ku, Kobe)

• From “Naya” Station on the Seishin-Yamate Subway Line, take City Bus No. 76 to the “Kobe Medical Center Shimo” stop. 5-minute walk from the stop.
• There are no parking lots nearby, so please use public transportation.

(3) Admission: Free

(4) Application Method Advance application is required for admission in the morning. Please apply using the 2D code on the right or the URL ( https://ktbsp.jp/area/7209/ ).

• Application period: Friday, October 18, from 3:00 p.m.
• (Registration will be closed when the number of applications reaches the maximum limit.

• Admission will be at your choice of 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, or 11:30 a.m.
• After 12:00, you may enter without prior application
• No admission before the selected time
• Duplicate applications for multiple time slots are not allowed.

• Buses (hydrogen buses, bonnet buses, Shinki Bus, Sanyo Bus, Awaji Kotsu, Honshi-Kaikyo Bus, Amagasaki Kotsu Jigyo Shinko)
• Subway car washing (passing through car washing machine) experience
• Tours of the tram depot and subway car factory
• Maintenance car exhibit (motor cars, etc.)
• Parts sales
• Rail Toy Exhibit [Pulaimu] (Japanese only)
