The annual site-opening event “Open Customs 2024” will be held on November 9 at “Kobe Customs Office Building” (Chuo Ward, Kobe), a popular location for filming. Admission is free.
In addition to special tours of the “former guest room,” which is not usually open to the public, and the “rooftop” overlooking the Port of Kobe, the day will also include a hall concert, a drug-sniffing dog demonstration and other programs, and commemorative photos in uniform for children.
In addition, there will be a “Customs Operations Experience” to operate transceivers and binoculars, and a “Quiz & Stamp Rally” for high school students and younger to explore the government building.
A hall concert by the Kobe/Osaka Customs Joint Concert Band will include a collaboration with the TV animation “Nintama Rantaro,” and Rantaro and his friends will appear at the venue to enliven the event.
<A word from the reporter>
I would like to see the view from the rooftop, which is not usually accessible!
