Suma Yaon Music and Buddhist Memorial Service” will be held at Sumadera Temple, a famous temple associated with the Genpei period (794-1185). The event is a joint dedication combining shomyo (Buddhist chanting) by Shingon and Tendai sect monks with performances by the music unit “shinsha” led by former Blue Hearts drummer Tetsuya Kajiwara and the 1-stringed Suma Koto (Japanese harp), where prayers for peace are offered under the autumn night sky.
