Awajiya, a bento box lunch box shop headquartered in Higashinada-ku, Kobe City, will start selling “Kobe Customs version Hittari Dako Meshi”, a collaboration product with the Kobe Customs from November 28, 2012. The product will be on sale in advance at the 8th floor store in the “Open Customs 2024” to be held at the Kansai Regional Taxation Bureau on November 9, 2012.
The “Kansai Customs version of Hittaridako Meshi” is 1,680 yen (tax included).
Customs offices throughout Japan are actively enforcing border control to prevent the entry into Japan of illicit drugs such as psychedelics and stimulants, terrorism-related goods such as firearms, explosives, and chemical preparations that threaten the safety and security of people’s lives, as well as intellectual property infringing goods and counterfeit credit cards that damage healthy economic development.
To further strengthen border control, we need more information from the public. In order to make the “Smuggling Information Dial” (0120-461-961-961) more widely known to the public, a collaboration with the restaurant’s signature product, “Hittaridako Meshi” was planned.
The contents of the dish will remain unchanged from the usual “Hippippippippadako Meshi”.
The Kobe Customs version of the Hippippippradako Meshi has been specially designed for the Kobe Customs collaboration, with the usual Hippradako Meshi pottery and wrapping paper changed to the special Kobe Customs collaboration specifications. The pottery is finished in a two-tone diagonal color scheme of White and Black, with the Customs logo on one side and the Customs flag on the other.
The back of the box features the smuggling information dial “0120-461-961” to remind you of the number at any time. The hanging paper features the symbolic clock tower of the Customs House, the Customs mascot “Custom”, and an octopus wearing a customs cap.
<A word from the reporter:
The two-tone diagonal color is said to be the first in the series! The simple and cool container is sure to catch the eyes of those around you.
