The “Motomachi Children’s Marché x Nankinmachi, Kobe (Laoshoki)” will be held on November 10 from 12:00 to 15:10 at the north corridor on the first floor of Daimaru Kobe Store (Chuo-ku, Kobe City).
Scenes from the first day of this year’s workshop
This event is part of the “Motomachi Kodomo Daigaku (Children’s University),” which aims to nurture children’s creativity through cooperation between Kobe Gakuin University and the Daimaru Kobe Store, and will be held for the fourth time this year.
The children participating in the event learned about the history of Nankinmachi, Kobe and the “Original Pork Buns” product at a workshop held in October. They also thought about customer service at Daimaru Kobe Store and marketing the product’s appeal.
The first day of this year’s workshop
On the day of the workshop, the students will use the knowledge and skills gained in the workshop to sell original pork bun sets as “children’s clerks. This set includes three types of pork buns: the original pork bun, shiitake mushroom pork bun, and Kobe Nagata beef bokkake pork bun for 550 yen (tax included).
Also on sale are Lao Xiang Ji’s “mini baked pork buns” (200 yen for 2 pieces, tax included), which are baked by children in a live kitchen. An eat-in space will be set up at the venue so that visitors can enjoy the hot delicacies on the spot.
Both items are available in limited quantities and will be closed as soon as they are gone, so we recommend that you visit the store as soon as possible.
The products actually sold are manufactured by Laoshoki Corporation.
After two days of training, the children actually tried their hand at selling the products! I would like to buy Lao Xiang Ji’s “mini baked pork buns,” which are only available here, and eat them while strolling around Motomachi.
